Services Squad Dryer Vent Cleaning

Don't Let Your House Go Up In Flames

Judith and Aric Kabillio - We would like to endorse Yosef from Services Squad for the outstanding, good old-fashioned service that he has demonstrated with his Fire Prevention Dryer Vent Cleaning and other Handyman Services. He provided us with dedication and affordable, reasonable rates. $49.99 is a small cost for our family's safety.

What triggered us to check our dryer vent was the lint accumulation that we noticed outside the house, under the dryer vent.

Cleaning the dryer form the front (the easy part of the process) is shown below. You should do this yourself monthly.

The second step of the process is inserting a custom made, specially designed flat vacuum hose into the lint tunnel, which connects to a Shop Vac with powerful suction for deep-cleaning of built up lint, dust and debris from deep inside the lint tunnel.

Important: we then reverse the function of the Shop Vac and instead of using it for suction action we actually use it to force compressed air into the lint tunnel. As a result, all remaining lint and debris which has accumulated in your lint tunnel are pushed down and out the dryer exhaust which is located at the back of your dryer.

The most important task in the process is removing the dryer duct from the dryer exhaust and inserting a specially designed lint removal brush, while forcing compressed air into the dryer Lint Tunnel as described in the previous step. This push/pull effect is what fully cleans the dryer exhaust.

Why Should I Schedule Dryer Vent Cleaning Today

Cleaning your dryer will not only reduce the cost of operating this necessary appliance, but it will also prevent the chance of your dryer causing a fire. According to fire officials you should clean the dryer duct work at least once a year and effectively remove dangerous lint build-up. Over time, your dryer vent fills with lint that sneaks by your dryer's filter. Fires can occur when lint builds up in the dryer or in the exhaust duct. Lint can block the flow of air, cause excessive heat build-up, and result in a fire in some dryers. Clogged dryer vents are one of the leading causes of house fires.
